Ignore life drain on durumu.

While working on heroic Durumu this week with my guild, i found you can completely negate life drain. To do so, you HAVE to be the original target (you get a a squiggle like beam attached to you before the actual life drain effect occurs)

If you use Greater invis or salyins war banner (the item which drops combat) while that line is on you, it will completely cancel it and you won't have to deal with it. Very useful to use during certain parts of the fight where lots of shit is going on and may cause a wipe due to poor swapping. (also stops him healing a lot)

TL/DR

1. Be target for life drain
2. Greater invis or use salyins warbanner before actual life drain starts
3. life drain should be gone.

Now, i KNOW for a fact invis works for mages as that's what i did. I am presuming the banner will do the same as it is a sort of vanish.

If it works on heroic, then it should work on normal and even LFR, but you HAVE to be the original target of the effect, you can't just invis and step in the way. Found it out because i went to try and reduce the damage for 3 ticks so he heals less, but didn't expect it to go away.

I can partly confirm this as I mis clicked my Iceblock before the life drain went out and it caused it to stop, did not know about greater invis or banner so +rep

Feign might work, i don't know, don't play a hunter it is worth giving it a try though if you notice it's on you.

During WotLK when I was playing a rogue as my main I used to love abusing Vanish to negate certain boss mechanics (like vanishing just as a Putricide ooze was about to hit me, causing it to sit in confusion for 5 seconds before retargetting someone else)... Nice

also tried in heroic on wednesday(EU-Realm), instantly pressed my banner, but got life drain.

I was working with bannor earlier on my alt in LFR, took a few trys before i actually got it so it was hard, but with bannor, it's a VERY tight timing, you have to use it, and be in the vanish state as it's about to do the effect... so you get the beam on you.... then as it goes away and you are about to get the stun/lifedrain, vanish has to be up, only got it to work twice out of like 8 drains.

Also doesn't work if you hit G invis on mage and get back into combat. you have to stay invis, till its failed to go out.

Working with mage invis (the talent, not the other one), but you have to press it INSTANTLY, if you're under GCD, it will be too late.

Anyone else thinks this is fixed? I have tried it last week and this week with Greater Invis and it just did not worked. I tried it 4 different times and no luck at all.

I did it last week on my priest with the battle bannor,

It skipped the first 10 seconds of the effect or so, then targeted someone else for two ticks before vanishing completely.

So it seems it is staying out now, and attempts to retarget.
