Reseting new rares

5.2 brought the new rares in pandaria that drop a mount (Warbringers)

people steal tag off each other and go evade bug to annoy but dont know you can actually reset them to others:

only possible to reset that i found easy were:

Jade forest, KunLai and Townlong, while Dread is possible but annoying and Krasang Wilds i havent find way yet.

Jade Forest:

Rare spawn at the cleef point simple way is taunt and jump of cleef while the warbringer is on the edge, he will fall down with you, also
you can use Pushback aswell to kick it off.

Kun-Lai:

This rare cant get pushed back from what i tried, so you need to taunt him to the edge and then jump off cleef + taunt and he will get stuck and wont be able to move
and eventually will reset.

Townlong:

Same story with Jade just kick it off and it will evade+reset.

Dread:

Here is an hard part, you need to kite it up the ramp and do as said... push of the cleef.

i stole 4 rares and still stealing since its boring and give mounts (alrdy got 1)

Purple/purple circle = Where u should throw them.

i was able to reset kun lai with pushback.

here is picture of how it should look like after pushback / taunt jump would happen:

he needs to fall all way down to get it reset or it can get stuck on way down and reset aswell,
sometimes it would just go up like nothing happend and then you can push him again or taunt and jump again to make it reset.

I'm not sure that this is an exploit, it seems more likely to be under the WoW General or Guides section. It's just resetting/evading mobs, part of "normal" gameplay. You should also use pictures with maps to the areas or links to the mobs on wowhead.

unless these rares are supose to be immune to CC i dont see this being a exploit still fun

I've seen quite a few retards doing this same trick when I was just exploring Isle of the Giants and killing the mobs to get the battle pets. Needless to say that a simple freeze or root placed right after a taunt>run is a good counter.
Still, no +rep for the op, as this post does not promote anything helpful but rather, a "how to annoy people " guide.....which in my mind, is not constructive.

@mercules - The pandaria are not tagged shared.

@Sensisativa - you're right but it's not meant to be used so actually evading is a bug -> you used it for you own good -> exploiting.

@Wolfeey - you can root, but most of people get tag right off... and people will annoy you untill you kill it.

If I read this correctly isn't it very helpful? Say there is a rare that you wanna tag and kill but someone already has it tagged, cant you just reset the rare and then quickly tag it for yourself? : ]

I think this is an awesome guide. Not really an exploit because resetting is an intended mechanic, but definitely useful.

For example, my two friends were on their way to help me kill one of the Warbringers, but these two players from the opposite faction who had been farming all day came and tagged it about 3 seconds before my friends got there. We tried taunt chaining it but they had a DK so he was pulling it back.

I wish I had seen this before then. Thanks for pointing out the good reset cliffs.
