When you arrive at that location you have to hit the mobs each and each 20%/25% they will spawn a worm that you can tame.

Saw this pet on wow-petopia saying that you need a klaxxi quest for it. But you can make the worm spawn from the mobs without being on the quest. The worm that you have to tame looks like this and is very small first. But once tamed it will get very big.

You need the quest for it, without the quest the mobs don't have the infection buff... and you need the infection buff to make the worms spawn

No you don't need any quest at all. If you gave it a try you would see that when you hit the mobs that they will spawn the worms without even being on the quest
