How to Get Hot Streak/Hotter Streak Achievements Easy

While capping my alts, I found out a little trick to get these achievements easier than intended. Ive been dropping MMR really really low in 2s and 3s recently, as in 800 mmr, to help my friends cap when I normally play at 1800 mmr and above. We naturally are winning just about every game we play, since the MMR is so low, but because we are winning all our games, our mmr is increasing fast. What we found out, was that if you que up for an arena, and then when the que pops, LEAVE the que by clicking leave, it DOES NOT COUNT as a loss to your achievements for some reason. This means, that you can artificially keep your mmr as low as you want to get these achievements. Ive gotten Hot Streak on all my alts by doing this, even though every 3 games or so, we loss a couple or 3 games to keep the MMR artificially low.

I also tested this out with Hotter Streak, as I already had it, and it took a couple of tries to not lose, but if my CR was 1830, and Id win one game, and then que up and leave que when it pops to lose mmr and CR again to keep it the same, I could keep playing at the exact same mmr pretty much and not have to verse higher rated opponents, yet still get my achievements. Hotter Streak is definitely quite a bit harder to get, but the technique works with both the same way. Just a way to not have to verse 2k+ players for Hotter Streak, or very very easily get Hot Streak, if your in need of those achievements.

i tought that leaving arena que (without entering arena) does not lower your mmr but only your current rating...

Oh it most definitely does. You lose mmr anytime you leave que, EVEN if your teammate joins and 1v2, you STILL lose mmr for not joining the arena, even though that game was won by "your team".

Long story short, leaving que lowers both your mmr and your cr. If you dont enter, and just leave que, it still acts like a lose in every way.

Probably because this way you can keep your MMR as close to 1800 as possible without pushing up 2k+ and playing against better teams.

Wilds answered it correctly. Instead of having to verse 2k+ players on your 8th, 9th, and last win in a row, since you cant lose any at all when going for the achievement, you can keep the MMR artificially low and as close to 1800 as possible while still getting all your "wins in a row". Makes it easier, since 2k+ is definitely more of a challenge than 1800+
