in tanaris over by the goblin, or gnomish quest givers you can kill your opposite faction npcs with an almost instant respawn.
they drop alot of cool things for having such a fast respawn...

had trouble getting them to respawn instantly

if you go from right in front of them, then run passed the trees, they will respawn. so like 2 seconds between kills.

ya they'll respawn at ranged just not melee as well.
I noticed that when I showed a warrior friend.
