Mastercraft Kalu'ak Fishing Pole at levels 5+

So, the Kalu'ak in Dragonblight have an epic fishing pole available for purchase at exalted. It has 301.1 weapon DPS and 722-1085 damage range (Mastercraft Kalu'al Fishing Pole). Also, it has no level requirement! But sadly, all the dailies require higher levels, at which the damage of the fishing pole would be moot. Luckily, there is "The Kalu'ak Fishing Derby", a quest from winning the Kalu'ak Fishing Derby! It has no level requirement to complete, so any character with fishing and dedication can do it. It grants 2,500 rep with the Kalu'ak upon completion (before rep bonuses). It would be a grind, but a level 5+ twink could get an insanely powerful weapon. Maybe best for ferals since they could still do weapon strike in cat form with a fishing pole? Good luck!

In response to people talking about how much time it would take with 2,500 rep per win, I believe that it won't take as long as theorized. WoWhead said 2,500 rep, but the comment kept mentioning 5,000. Unless it was changed in MoP, this would be much faster (5000 rep per turn in, 5500 with guild perk, 6000 (if they stack additively) as a human with the guild perk, maybe add in Seasonal buffs or the 9th Anniversary thingy, etc.). Still, it would require a lot of dedication.

This would be out of control for a feral, unmatched AP on that dps at that level.

With this weapon you can nearly 1shot every1 in leveling bg , and it's worth trying because the xp-on exploit still works http://www.ownedcore.com/forums/worl...-off-back.html ([Twink glitch] Great news, enter leveling bg with xp-off is back!)

LOL seriously? I mean I can see a twink with it, but for the amount of work you'd have to put in, and considering it would be patched fairly quickly, it's probably definitely not worth it.

Did they ever reimplement the derbys ? I thought they had taken them out due to x-realm exploits

about 4-5 weeks ago i thought about the exactly same exploit but the fishing derby didnt work because they took it down.
now that its public i think it will be fixxed until i would hit revered. so probably not worth the reputation farming
