BM Hunter Water Walking Exploit

I found a small exploit today while questing. I was BM spec and had my Water Strider pet out and was using the Surface Trot ability for the water walking... Without thinking I switched to survival but I stayed on top of the water, and I noticed that although my pet was gone and I could not resummon it, I still had the surface trot ability and was walking on Water. It stayed even through mounting and flying around and landing. I hope someone can find a use for this as I have

not sure if its really an exploit as this method has been available since forever, buff yourself in spec X, switch spec, profit.

but concerning this trick, the water walking buff will stay on you until you summon an different pet

it stays untill you get you summon a new pet just like if you didnt switch specs it would do the same.
