Transfer "gold" across servers

Before you scream out "not an exploit", this surely can't be intended as it will affect economies drastically with the rarer leveled pets.

Battle Pets are cross-account, cross-server, cross-faction, etc.

You can cage and sell them. Level 25 pets could go for a lot.

1. Level a rare pet to 25 where you got it.
2. Go onto the realm you want to sell it. Cage and list it on the AH or advertise.
3. ????
4. PROFIT!!

Just because it has an impact doesn't make it an exploit, Blizzard clearly fully intends for the pets to be sellable and server transfers have always added this side effect. It also in no way helps to transfer gold unless you're buying a rare pet at 25 and taking the risk that it will resell when you transfer. As is this is simply a way to make money on a new server...

Seems like someone is missing the point. There is no server transfer involved.

Pets that aren't caught or gained via achievements (or other particular exceptions) are able to be "caged" and sold. These pets, when learned, are accessible on ANY of your characters, on ANY faction and ANY server. You can buy and learn a pet on one server, cage it and sell it on another just by making a new character there.

ahhh.. thats actually pretty awesome.. not an exploit and working as intended.. but definately a great idea for making $ on other servers... guides perhaps?

To the five above people who are saying this is "not an exploit" do you work for blizzard and know they they full intended this to happen? Even if this is just "clever use of game mechanics" if Blizz decided to hotfix this tomorrow would then it be considered an exploit?

My only hang up is which pets does this work with? Ones that you buy and then level to 25? Because if you can't catch pets and cage them, then where do the level 25 pets come from that you can cage? I have a bunch of rare pets ATM and I was thinking I could cage them but I cannot. Does this apply to only ones that you buy and then level? The argent tourney pets seem to work for example.

Bottom line, I feel like this is an exploit and has ALOT of potential. I think it just slipped past the developers...

Cool tip, but more of a guide.

We already knew you were going to be able to cage and sell your pets and since pets are account bound, it is working as intended.

therefore you can make one on a new realm and sell it.

wheres the exploit? where is the "not working as intended"?

Did blizzard invent this so that people can play the AH cross server with level one pets? You can buy level one pets on a server that has them for 500g and instantly resell them on another server that sells them for 3000g. Is this the game developers intent in making the pet battle system? If the answer is no, then this is an exploit. If this is what they intended to do, then its not an exploit.
