Vengeance and Sinestra.

I've just tried killing her and saw something not normal, i was tanking (Druid) the whelps and when p2 started (with the bubble)
i got like 300k attack power from Vengeance (insane dps i reached 100k).

now this is a bug since you don't get that much damage to stack it this high.

The group i was with were very bad, but you could actually do some nasty damage on Sinestra if dps is high enough.
basically what i was doing was taking whelps and just doing 1 thrash while it crit for 200k. then help on sinestra shield and sinestra itself on the tries the dps were high enough.

so basically if your dps in group is high enough you could actually help dps sinestra in p3 (and see big crits).

I don't really qualify this as a "exploit"(more of a guide, on how to make the fight easier) since vengeance is working as intended here, it no longer has a cap and can stack to whatever number it wants. Nevertheless thanks for sharing

but they intended there not being a cap, so I'm not sure what their plan is..if they will nerf vengeance or certain fights :P. I guess when you look at it that way, this is an advantage atm.

i got to 170k in tanking bloods on spine hc (with the rapid spawn) but that the highest i could reach...

You should see the dps tanks do on baleroc. That is pretty insane.

This. I don't think they'll nerf it for one big reason. Sinestra is old content. People try to argue, "It's still a Cataclysm raid and we are still in Cataclysm." However, the Dragon Soul gear is roughly 2x better than Bastion of Twilight. There should be no reason to wipe in there anymore as it is anyways.

It's because Vengeance is calculated from unmitigated damage, so you get vengeance from Twilight Extinction even though you take 99% less damage from it inside the bubble. Tanks aren't supposed to be doing 200k dps, but there are only a few fights where it happens (Sinestra, Baleroc, etc.) and it isn't worth Blizzard's time to go back and write code exceptions on old content fights.

i just downed it so i checked the AP Stack, i reached 550k attack power on the buff,
that is not really intended on sinestra fight... because 1 shooting the whelps and do 80k dps on the encounter doesnt seems right as a tank.
