Disconnect people as shadowpriest in Arena!

Hi!

I just recognized that Paralyze, a talent in the shadow tree, disconnects people when you hit them. This works almost every try - I dont know why it does not sometimes:

Use Mind Blast and CRIT, after the paralyze effect the enemy will be disconnected, not always but i don't know why! This seems to ONLY WORK in ARENA!

Use it, before it gets fixed! [TESTED ON EU]

It DEFINITELY works. Go and try it And no, I dont want this to get moved, since many on this page are active and its better when many people can use this exploit than some few.

Edit: In my testing of this, this is disconnecting *ME* and not my opponent...

You don't think Blizzard has employees that donate to this site to get to the "Elite" exploits? The only reason Elite gets more longevity is because you don't have SO many people looking at it, and have 0-few people running back to Blizzard demanding it's fixed.

As I added to my post above, this seems backwards, this disconnects me, not the opponent. So unless you like disconnecting in arenas, I'd say this is pretty... Awful to use...

Going to keep testing, first arena I DC'd twice, second nothing happened but I wasn't landing crits.

Well, im still not sure why it sometimes works and why not.

I think when you MOVE while being rooted, you get a disc. When you stand still, you dont.

Still in Arena everyone is moving, so it works pretty good.

This seems to be the case. It definitely works (sometimes) though, just not positive on the specifics, but I think you're correct here.

as my priest is totally ungeared for arena i havent had a chance to try this, its a pretty unreliable strategy as its quite difficult to get mind blast to crit. anyone know if this works with any other spells?

I dont believe its that hard? Mind spike x3 and mind blast?

With some decent gear, even 2x Spikes are fine, but 3x for low geared toon is better.

But maybe Darknights wanted to point, that its hard to cast 3x times spike without interruption?

thats the point i was going for. also this is liable to get you banned for exploitation is it not? blizz are gonna notice if you have a ton of wins in 2v1. also im in like full spirit gear, i recently chucked all my shadow pvp gear. so i have like 4000 hit rating and **** all crit :P

Practically every exploit leaves you open for a ban, although I agree, this one can leave it open more than others. I tested this originally in 2's, when I finally got it regularly working, I moved on to 3's. I just made it a point to only make one person DC (Their deadliest DPS or healer), and then regularly kill the others. That seemed the "Safest" to me. Anyways, I can definitely confirm that this will work after 30+ arenas of testing.
