    Re: Saving Damage

Well, before that I had different beliefs. So thank you for pointing it out.
Im still concerned though. I did this on a priest in a duel, doing hamstring on my move by accident. No damage added. He was on low health and just about to finish heal when I double-hit him and won.

This doesnt work. Wake up damnit.

Its just client side. You deal the damage the time you swing. Even if the number shows up later, its only client side.

    Re: Saving Damage

Check your combat log, I remember it showing your white damage hit just after your special ability. I used to think this was actually a bug and could use it indefinitely to get weaker hits (and thus quicker weapon skill-ups) via hamstring instead of normal weapon damage. It doesn't work that way, the mob is still taking the white damage, even if your UI doesn't reflect that.

    Re: Saving Damage

Paperboi, I dont think you understand. Even though the numbers show up later, the damage has already been dealt.

You cant possibly use an UI lag to exploit, since its client side only.

No. It's client side. On the server, The damage has already been dealt, even if the numbers show on YOUR client a bit later than they should have.

    Re: Saving Damage

Me and my friends call this the Windfury effect. I hate this when a mob does this to you and you wont have a chance to counter it (vanish, evasion, FD, iceblock, etc.) I believe it is a client side issue too, since with my shaman (using shocks and earthstrike instead of hamstring) i could count extra swings and damage after my target dies. The extra swing actually registered before it is displayed. I couldn't come up with a better explanation than that, but hey, my target is dead.
