How to only join dungeons that are in process via random queue.

    Hello.

This exploit is only useful for tanks & healers, but might as well be for DPS in some circumstances.

I came across this exploit when I was "farming" the Satchel of Exotic Mysteries. As a tank, you often get instant queued - especially during call to arms - and if you don't need gear / reputation from any instances (apart from raids), a perfect dungeon would be the one where you're placed right at the last boss.

By doing this exploit, you can make sure that you only get into these kind of dungeons that are in process.

    Method 1

    - Queue for a random dungeon.
    - Have a friend / yourself (with a trial account) to invite you to a party.
    - Don't accept the invitation yet.
    - As soon as a group has been found, press "Enter Dungeon" as fast as you can.
    - If you're instantly placed inside a dungeon, it's most likely a dungeon already in progress.
    - If you're not instantly placed inside a dungeon (aka. you're still waiting for other players to accept), hit "Accept" on that party invitation you gave yourself earlier.
    - Congratulations.
    - Rinse and repeat the above steps.

    Method 2

    - Make a trial account and log-in with it (while being logged in with your main account).
    - Create a macro that looks like this: /invite X (X is the name of the character on your trial account).
    - Join a random dungeon.
    - As soon as a group has been found, press "Enter Dungeon" as fast as you can.
    - If you're instantly placed inside a dungeon, it's most likely a dungeon already in progress.
    - If you're not instantly placed inside a dungeon (aka. you're still waiting for other players to accept), use your macro.
    - Congratulations.
    - Rinse and repeat.

    Happy farming! =)

    EDIT

It seems that this is a repost. Freaking hell, what isn't nowadays...
    Whatsoever, I'd like to apologize.

Method 1 I came up with myself.
Method 2 comes from another topic here on the site - I just changed it a bit to make it much faster.

It's also important to note that sometimes you just happen to get into a group that has only done 1 boss or something retarded. Incase that happens, proceed to kill the next boss and then leave the party (you don't get the queue debuff if you leave after killing a boss - common sense to some people, I know).

    Have a great day everyone.

This also works with /camp or logging out while in a city. Your way is better, but requires someone/two accounts. Logging out you can do solo

Personally I don't have anything against occasional reposts of good exploits, but it's still in conflict with rules and this has been posted many times and easy to search with words dungeon + progress:

this is not a repost from the looks of it, it would appear to be a new method.

(don't post things I post to Patreon.)

The first method doesn't work for me, when I do this and press Enter Dungeon i'm still just standing in SW, and if I decline my grp invite it says that I have accepted the invite to the instance but after 40 sec I get the decline message...

And I didnt understand the 2nd method.

I'm not sure I follow what you're saying.

    You queue for a dungeon
You get someone to invite you to a party (without accepting or declining the invitation).
When the screen pops up to make you enter the dungeon, you press "Enter Dungeon".
If you can see it's not a dungeon in progress (aka. there's a questionmark on 2-4 player-roles), you press "Accept" on the invitation you gave yourself earlier.
Tada, you're now out of the queue and you can queue again.

If you fail that, I'm not able to help you any further as a) my English skills are totally flawed or b) you seem to lack the possibility of understanding English.

    Method 2 is even easier.

    Make a trial account.
    Log-in to the trial account.
Make a character on the trial account and log-in with it.
Go to your main account and log-in with it (you need to have 2 open WoW windows so you're logged in with both accounts).
Log-in with your character that's going to queue.
Make a macro that does the following /invite X (x is the name of the character on your trial account).
    Join a random dungeon.
Press "Enter Dungeon" when you can.
If you can see it's a dungeon in progress, don't do anything.
If you can see it's a new dungeon, press your macro.

Actually it is the exact same as http://www.ownedcore.com/forums/worl...-progress.html (New Way for Tanks to Get Dungeons in Progress), as already stated above.

Better way that I've been using since the Dungeon Finder was implemented:

    /run LFDQueueFrame_Join()

Make that a macro. Select the role you want to fill. Press the macro, hit join. If they don't accept right away, repeat previous step.
