Skip the grant level limit (80)

Hello, everybody knows by now that you can get 100% on your level, then grant levels to the max (80).
But what i did was:

Turned on some downloads to get some lag, and got my mate to spam me grant levels,
While lagging i kept clicking Accept and got granted to level 81 (and the 100% that i had from previous levels), so basically i skipped 2 levels. (My mate was lvl 85)
You should not be able to grant above 80, so this obviously should not have happened.

Maybe if you get ALOT of lag and keep spamming, you can get to 85 perhaps?

Before i realised that i need to take screens of the level gains the chat got flooded and they werent in the chatlog anymore...
But it does work, just try whenever you will be granting levels

Did you have exactly 100% before granting? Maybe it has something todo with that. I was like 1k XP away from leveling when i did that, not sure if it matters

last i recall (BC), when you grant a level it doesnt go by percentage into the level, just raw xp. so if you were at 60xp out of 100, and get granted, you would be at 60xp out of 200, not 120xp out of 200.

but they may have changed it if you are saying you were 1k away from leveling, because the level xp increments go far more than 1k.

I stopped at level 71 and 100% and got granted to 81 and 100%, so they probably changed it then.

well that alone is great info, because getting 100% xp at level 40 (for 40 granted levels) is easier than getting all the way through 80. so its basically a free level 81.

I've had this happen and figured out how.

It seems that in this implementation of RaF, blizzard made it so you couldn't grant levels to toons higher than 80, but most likely forgot the "equal" check.

As such, if your toon that grants level is 81 or higher, they can grant one last level to a level 80 character, since the game verifies it as equal, not above.

Therefore, the smart thing to do is get the first toon to 79.9999999, have level 81+ toon grant two levels, and there you go: you skipped a 3.6m experience grind!


In short:

If the first toon's level is equal to, or lower than 80, it can receive levels from higher RaF'd toon.

If the first toon's level is higher than 80, it cannot receive levels.

Don't need lag, not an exploit... It's just like how BoA works from 80-81. Lag won't allow you to grant any higher than 81; best you can do is get to the end of 80 then grant to 81.

AKA, you need two RaF accounts & your main account, so first you need to level two characters on two RaF accounts to level 80, then your able to grant 40 levels on each character to your main account.

AKA you're wrong. you only need 1 RAF account and a main account. level two characters to 80 on the RAF account, grant the 40 levels each = 80. your method is full of wat.

I did how you said (with lag), and i got to lvl 81 (not sure if lag has anything to do with it) but thats something new to me, so rep+
