Somewhat a Fast Way of Looting Gold in Tempest Keep Continuously

We're talking about Tempest Keep: The Eye here. Particularly we'll be killing mobs in Novice Astromancer's room. Each one of them drops 1g for himself and a good chance of epic items.

As you enter the room you'll see some mobs on a platforms, on each of which there are mobs of 15k HP and one of 100k HP.

Basically what you want to do is pull the pat that is walking around the boss, near the platforms, and along with it pull one of the groups on the platforms. The platforms are linked together so that the mobs on the nearest platform get pulled once you pull the others. You'll kill the 15k mobs fast, but keep the 100k mobs alive until you get Mind Controlled, but keep in mind that they Mind Control A LOT, so you might not have time to loot all the mobs. Once you get Mind Controlled, the 100k mobs will get back to their platforms and the 15k mobs will respawn.

P.S. I haven't tried to solo it. We did this 3man, but I think 2man will be satisfactory as well.

P.S. 2: It seems that this gives ~1,000 gold looted/hour totally, and along with the trash items, epics and cloths, it might be way more.

Used to do this as a mage and boomkin in wotlk solo, would take a bit practice but doable, im sure there was a guide on these forums

From what I could see in the videos you posted, the mage uses invisibility to reset the mobs, which by itself limits the farming method A LOT. Here we're talking about reset in ~ every 15 seconds by the mob's Mind Control ability. Please read the thread before you post.

P.S. Don't just say " there was a guide on these forums ", but take your time and find it to support your claim, instead of saying " i did this on my boomkin " or linking some a video that has nothing to do with the method posted.

I think the exploit is not that mobs are getting out of combat once you get mind controled. That has always been like this and is the exact same mechanic as with invisibility.

But part of a group instant-respawning after combat reset in a raid instance is good.

This works alright. The only issue I faced was that when you got mind controlled you started following the mind controller and once mind control brakes you aggro the mind controller again and you only have a few seconds to kill and loot before you get mind controlled once again.

I hope that makes sense.

To the ppl saying "move to elite" or "this is going to get nerfed", this strategy and farming method has been around since the day people could enter that instance. Farming "The Eye: " for gold is a very well known strategy by alot of people no a days. So no, it most likely wont get nerfed... and dont bother moving to elite.. you can google this exploit..

Once again, support your claim with evidence. You can't just say you an google this exploit. Also, it's Tempest Keep: because "The Eye" is the name for the Tempest Keep raid... Seriously... I'm trying to contribute and almost all you trolls do is post some pointless replies that talks some random things. Now, I want YOU to google it and show it to me.

Yeah, I know. It makes perfect sense to me. That's why I said that the mobs Mind Control A LOT, and you might be able to loot all of them.

It is quite easy to get around that, just pull that pat ~60yards away from where you agroed them. You wont start running towards them until they have reseted so by pulling them away they first have to run back to the original position before you start running towards them and the MC will break before you agro them.

There are lots of trashpacks with instant respawn after not killing the whole group in bigger raid instances. nothing new :O

1. Mappacks respawning after not beeing killed: no exploit
2. Getting out of combat after beein mindcontrolled: happens a lot and not an exploit imho, otherwise blizzard would have fixed it years ago...

So i think it is not an exploit but a nice guide (for the loot 100k gold achieve maybe...)

but NO exploit...
