Orphaned Mammoth Calf as pet without keeping quest

Hello,

I just wanted to inform you that you can keep the Orphaned Mammoth Calf (http://www.wowhead.com/?quest=11878) if you teleport behind the recieving npc and while teleporting, after getting the msg the quest would be fulfilled (so you can finish it at the npc), provoke a disconnect.

It'll disappear after a time but as soon as you relog it's reappearing.

Posted as all previous posts I saw told about it to disappear after finishing the quest or logging out.

You don't need to trick dc's or stand behind npc, I abandoned this quest after the mammoth kept following me for couple days even inside instances so I wanted to get rid of it but abandoning the quest did nothing. I think when I summoned some other non-combat pet it did disappear finally. So yes you can abaondon the quest but i don't find this very useful because eventaully you will lose the pet, unless go pick up the quest again. Rep should go to original poster(and these posts belong there).

I tested and it didn't work, I assume the biscuit works only on normal learnable non-combat pets.

This happened to my friend, it was quite hilarious as to how mad he was as a goblin. Couldnt figure out how to get rid of it because it covered him 90% of the time when hes tanking.
