Hello, everyone. Stumbled upon another bug yesterday that I'm sure most will consider useless; but I'm pretty sure someone with more experience with the nature of the way these types of things can affect WoW.
If nothing else, this can be used to eavesdrop on people or something
In Uldum, pick up the daily quest Fire From the Sky
When you jump into the demolisher, simply begin to move. You will not be abler to adjust your camera from the bombing view of the temple, but you will notice on your map that you are actually moving.
If it seems to be ungodly slow in moving, use your 'Pitch Down' keybinding(delete by default), and do a few front flips until you find the angle that provides the best speed(the ' Pitch Up' keybinding does not seem to work as well, if at all. Also, jumping seems to strangly have a partial frontflip effect(pitch down) if spammed.
I spent a couple of hours during the night fooling around with this with the help of a friend(to check server-sidedness xD) and though I did not discover anything fascinating, here's as many points as I can recall:
Entering the demolisher on the cliff, places the player in a personal vehicle that contains the bombing spell for the quest. Upon entering the demolisher the player is also rooted, phased, and forced to use a single fixed camera view.
1. The vehicle pet you are driving is named: 'Artillery Spotter Seat', it is an invisible vehicle with no HP value. It is a flying vehicle, however it will not react to altitude related controlling quite as smoothly as your flying mount.
2. Rapidly entering and exiting the demolisher can, and most likely will(after several tries), cause your character's status changes to applied in the wrong order or timing(or not happen at all, I'm not sure). You can recognize when you have accomplished this by the following:
a. You remain inside the demolisher, but are not phased and can therefor see the normal unphased soldiers marching on the steps(you will actually be able to target these)
-also since you are unphased, you will be able to command the vehicle to follow a player now.
b. You will be able to steer the demolisher while holding the right mouse button.
c. You will have no exit vehicle button, and upon exiting the vehicle you will find that the root spell and also quest phasing are being applied to you upon exit, as opposed to when you enter.(This can be remedied by relogging or zoning)
d. While inside the demolisher, your camera will be forced to use a single pre-defined camera view. (If anyone find a workaround for this, please let me know)
If you decide to utilize the exploit and actually drive the vehicle some place, when you exit, you will be 'ported' to where you drive to from uldum. You may want to be sure you have some way of surviving a long fall, as I believe the altitude that this starts at is far higher than that which flying mounts are willing to go.
Personally, I can't think of anything that I could see myself needing to exploit this to accomplish, since I simply use programs to do so directly.
This can be done without using any hacks, but a teleport hack, or noclip/fly hack make having some quick fun with this alot easier
Edit: Figured I should have a screenshot or two:

EDIT2: Found a pretty funny usage for this. With the unphased version of the Artillery Spotter Seat, you can /follow another player. Your chat messages also display in a quote bubble over the invisible seat in the 3d world- so go haunt people xD
(I am only being specific in the way that I got this to work for integrity's sake. This may work just fine with the phased seat, but I haven't tested it
