Free Credit towards 25-Tabard Achievement!

If you go to Tol Barad and speak with your factions quartermaster you can buy a tabard for example : Hellscream's Reach Tabard - Item - World of Warcraft and then equip the tabard to get credit towards your tabard achievement. After equiping, Just unequip and refund it to the vendor.

Requirements:
Honored with Hellscream's Reach etc.
40 Tol Barad Commendation Tol Barad Commendation - Currency - World of Warcraft


Don't say useless because if you are like me and were one tabard away from a new free epic tabard and didn't want to grind TBC dungeons, then this was awesome.

This is the same as the "Epic" achievements where you buy VP gear and sell it back, etc.

Not exactly. Remember the tabards which are buyable via honor?
You could refund them for some time, but they fixed this so you couldn't sell them back anymore.
Could be the same here so use it while you can.

It's only gives a credit for first equip. So you only get +1 to counter. Working as intended.

Just about every tabard you buy from a vendor is of common quality. You generally can not sell back common quality items. The Tol Barad tabard is rare quality.

Just like you generally can not trade BoP common or uncommon items after looting them.

If they cared about people doing things like this for achievements, they would break all the VP items being refundable once you equip them and they would have taken away the bugged alliance tabards from Horde players, along with the bugged Blood Knight Tabard.

I wasn't going to post, but since you decided to pull out your "big-boy" bold font, to troll OP, you pissed me off so I'm chiming in.

Let's focus on the phrase "working as intended". "Working as intended" is NOT THE SAME as "working as the game is currently programmed". If you pull up ANY Blizzard employee and asked them "did you design this refund system intending for people to purchase items and sell them right back in order to gain achievements?", I'll bet your left testicle the answer isn't going to be "yes".

Therefore, NOT working as intended. I'd even go so far as to say that is common sense.

Well, I'm sorry you're pissed off, but Blizzard tends to fix just about everything eventually, whether big or small, and this has worked since WotLK. The only reason it doesn't work with most other tabards is because they're common quality.

If you're going to classify working as intended the way you did, then suddenly half the things in the game would classify as exploits, so nope. Still not an exploit. Guide. Bai QTPie.



Edit: You might want to look up what "Trolling" means too, not sure how correcting someone is being a "troll". I know it's a word that all the cool kids shout these days along with things like "EPIC!!!", but at least get the usage right.

Funny you say that, because if half the things in the game would then classify as exploits, then all the cool kids like you wouldn't be posting "not an exploit" and "working as intended" to 99% of these posts, thereby trolling (yes, trolling) OPs everywhere who are trying to contribute. I'm sick of every thread needing someone like me to debate whether something is working as intended with someone like you. Just let people f---ing contribute.

Nice, you still don't quite grasp what a troll is, congratulations.

Contributing is fine and dandy, but there's different sections for a reason - GUIDES, EXPLOITS, etc. Also there's rules for all these sections. Crazy concept, I know.

That's the point. It gives you a +1 credit to the achievement without having to drop 40 tokens which is a lot of works worth of tokens. I don't see this being the way Blizzard wants people to go about this achievement. And regardless it will probably be useful to somebody as it was useful for me. Hence I posted it. Just contributing =)
