Sadly it does. This isn't theory.. It is fact. It is trade able with group members like any other loot upon kill.

I just completed my Thunderfury quest chain and I can confirm that you CANNOT trade Thunderfury at all... Why? Well, the item that drops off Thundaerean or whatever his name was in NW Silithus is a quest item that IS tradable for Thunderfury... BUT, when I gave it to a guildie to see what happened (he had one half of the bindings too, the right side AND the quest to turn in the enchanted elementium and stuff... AND, he was unable to turn it in for Thunderfury...

Thus, this is not actually true lol... At least you said to delete this post, but ideally theories are not really wanted here, just confirmed exploits lol

so Technically you can just sell the quest start ( Which doesnt start the quest for others ) then just LOL @ the other person after selling for what ever price, speak to the guy again and get new quest starter item? if so i suppose u can sell it to 3-4 players to make quite abit of gold from it
