    Buy Auctions Anywhere

Don't even bother reading, nobody besides myself is able to accomplish it.

    Requirements:

An iPod/iPhone with the mobile armory app.

    WiFi

    A subscription to WoW Remote.

Before you start trolling about how you are able to buy auctions on WoW Remote without an exploit, you need to understand this:

You cannot buy auctions through WoW Remote when logged into the game.
    This will allow you to.

    To explain it...

The Mobile Armory's server is able to recognize when you are logged into both the game and the application at the same location. At a point like this, you will get a message saying "In-Game" where the character's amount of gold is usually displayed, therefore, disallowing you to use the mobile auction house in any way.

Let's get around that little snag.

    Here we go:

    1. Go into your Apple device's settings.
    2. Click WiFi
    3. Press the blue arrow next to the WiFi network you are connected to.

    4. Scroll down to the HTTP Proxy settings and select manual.
    5. Get onto your computer's web browser, and enter this search query on Google:
    "freshy http proxies"
    6. Find a site that looks promising ;D e.g. this (this website updates that list every 15 minutes.)
    7. Select a proxy: [server and port] Proxies in your own country are the best choice, but you may use any.
    8. Input the proxy's server and port into the Apple device's server/port fields.

    9. Exit the Settings.
    10. Log into WoW
    11. Open the Armory app, and buy an auction.
    12. Type /reload into the WoW UI.
    13. Got mail?

If what you were posting were true then I should be able to do this all the time, right? I log into the game from my home PC and log into the mobile AH on my phone - the game client sees my home IP and the mobile AH sees my phone's IP. That's two different "locations". Why would I need to fool around with some random proxy?

Or you could use mobile armory on 3G (mobile internet) rather than connecting it to Wi-Fi.

Not sure how this would work, but if it does, great!

It's not two different internet connections mate. If you got 2 different connections though i guess it's the same, but you need the proxy if you only got 1.

Most mobile clients connects to the net with 3G as default. This would part the IP address of the mobile client and the desktop. New technology tho, = mobiles can use wifi.

Good exploit, cant imagine it will last tho, if Blizzards only form of security when it comes to this is IP comparing. rofl.

It may be true that the IPs are not the exact same, but that doesn't matter. They still represent the same location even if the numbers vary a tiny amount.

What? Again - I log in on my home PC. Let's say I use Comcast as my ISP. The wow client sees my Comcast IP. I then log into the mobile auction house on my iPhone - that's connected via AT&T. That is two completely different networks with two completely different locations, no proxy configurations required.

If what you are saying worked, then I should be able to access the mobile auction house and the in-game auciton house all the time because the two connections are completely separate. Yet I can't, and I can't see how connecting my iPhone via some random proxy is going to change that.

I'm not trying to be combative but I don't see how this exploit is supposed to work.

You don't understand correctly what an IP is.

It doesn't matter what your service provider is, an IP is essentially a numerical version of the location of your device.

Doesn't matter if you change this stuff. It's supposed to stop you if you have logged in twice. The AH client will tell you that you need to log out of game.

Oh, yes, because I am sure that you have tested it oh, so thoroughly that this guesswork of what would happen when connecting from the same location still applies.

A cellphone's 3G and a PCs home broadband will have very different IP addresses. I have a feeling it is you who isn't understanding correctly.

For God's sakes... it's not the numbers within the IP address which causes the server to recognize anything. It's the location that the damn thing represents.
