2,6k ratings (depends on your realmpool) in arenas aren't that easy. there are many lvl 80 twinks with BiS gear who aren't playing bad. and you will still need 9/14 other ppl for rated battlegrounds. I'm sure that reaching 2,6k ratings in 3v3/5v5 or 2,3k ratings in rated battlegrounds is way harder than @lvl 85.

I play in the bloodlust group bg9 the best battlegroup for pvp apparentely and I am really not that great of a pvp player. I'm assuming you haven't tried 80 arenas to see the retards that play in them.

we got several good pvptwinks here on blutdurst EU and most of 'em are good players. but the main problem on this is, that the highest rating @lvl 80 won't be higher than ~2,4k in arenas. it was like that in every arenaseason before and you will always get the top players on 2,2k+ mmr. I think grinding to 2,6k takes way more time than @lvl 85. you got 66% winchance at 1,7k rating, I think thats just because you've grinded teams w/o gear & lowmmr.

pretty much problem is we dont get ques with teams that are any better geared then us toughest team we faced was an 84 mage and 84 shadow priest and we smashed them everytime. and you are right it woudl take more time but for thsoe people that dont have the skill or whatever to make it that way this is a way to do it long process but it works.

trust me, you won't be able to play on gladiator rating @lvl 80. there are many players on highmmr who will grind you, if you don't have BiS gear/good skills and they will stop you before you reach the gladiator rating. (I think no1 has ever played a lvl 80 team on 2,6k rating)

it's the 4th week of the season. this doesn't mean anything. and they removed gladiator title & rewards @lvl 80 (when a 70 priest got deadly gladiator with 2,2k rating & mount @s5 end). so you will have to level up to 85 and when your team&personal rating doesn't reset while dinging 85. then you'll still have to get 2,6k rating :x
I know that it sounds easy to grind rating @lvl 80, but it isn't.

There are still battlegroups. Only in bgs you can play anyone from any server. Arena is not the case, and is still % wise for your battlegroup.

This won't work, even at level 80 there was level 70 arena twinks myself included, even as rank 1 you would not be granted any gladiator titels
