Roll Need on Chaos orb regardless of profession.

I noticed this bug/exploit after doing a boss in Halls of Origination.

I died during the boss encounter and released my spirit. The boss died by the time I ran back into the instance. As I entered the Instance I noticed I could roll on the Chaos orb even though my profession does not use Chaos orbs in any recipe.

This was supposed to be changed so that if you didn't have the "required" professions you could not roll on the orb.

So; Die during a boss encounter; Let the group kill the boss; Zone in after they loot; ???; Profit?

The benefits could range from hoarding the chaos orbs now so that when they become BOE you can sell them for a good amount of gold - to helping a friend of yours by also rolling need on the item and then later giving it to them(Not sure if you can do this part)

You cannot trade chaos orbs even if they were part of the instance.

There really is no reason to do this other than griefing someone who could ACTUALLY use the item.

There's no certainty that these will ever become BoE. And by next tier, they'll be relatively worthless anyway.

Chaos orbs are bop and not able to be traded at all, and since they have no sell price, this is useless. Now if by some miracle blizzards makes them BoE, it maybe an idea.

Blizzard has has a proven trait with BOP Items used for crafting become BOE. Primal Nethers, Nether Vortexs, Frozen Orbs. I would bet a lot on the fact that this will happen again and the market trends that followed would support the idea of keeping them to sell the day of them becoming BOE.

Frozen Orbs were BoE from WotLK release.

Most likely they become BOE when new raidtier is released.

as notamage already said, chaos orbs are expected to turn BoE, which saving these up would net you a ton of money.

Expecting them to turn Chaos Orbs Boe are about as hopeful as expecting Blizzard to be able to balance all the classes.

With the exception of Wrath of the LOL King blizz used to commonly give us bop items for crafting that later became boe when they were passed up by a new patch. So it's not wishful thinking that chaos orbs will become boe in 4.1

Probably won't ever meet them again if you don't have anyone on your server in that group, so I say just roll need on it incase you ever decide to change (and/or) level a profession.

Like they always say, "think about the future".

This is not something that should be done, if you cannot use the orbs, you have no need for them.
those of us that use these for our professions have a difficult time as it is obtaining them if you pug with out someone that has no need exploiting the need rolls.
