Admiral Ripsnarl without adds (Heroic DM)

The fight comprises of ripsnarl dissapearing every 25% of his health, and adds attacking the group. If you tank him behind the hut in which cookie appears, at the back of the ship, you LOS the adds, and get breaks during combat where the healer can regen.

Also, if on Vanessa Van Cleef if you die to the nightmare images, just teleport back and the fight will continue, if the nightmare elixir runs out simply go to the ship and she will be there waiting for the final phase.

I only have 1 rep, and I have been +rep'ing people for a while.

And OP, I hope this is true, it's amazing how many people fail on this fight, I will give it a go with a bunch of friends tonight and see how many phases this works through.

Question though, do the mobs de-spawn, or do they just keep getting bigger and bigger so we still have to fight them at some point?

The fight has two phases, one where he is attacking, and one where is vanished. You get no adds at alll on the vanished phase, so can use it to regen. The phase where is he attacking he summons an add next to him, but its only one at a time, rather then the whole horde he has otherwise. The adds despawn after you defeat him.

maybe your dps were not LOS'ing the adds, they appear, but will not attack, as they cannot see you.

I'll go and take some pictures when I am next there, so I can make sure your doing it right. you do get some adds that he summons on him, but none during the vanish phase if done correctly.

It was also hotfixed so that the Ghosts don't give any rep.
