Double, Triple or Quadruple your chances at green proto-drake!!!

Everyone who has been 80 for awhile knows the pain of the oracles item Mysterious Egg, which after 7 days has only a SMALL chance at hatching a green protodrake mount. I just transfered servers from horde Rivendare to horde Kel'Thuzad and noticed something CRAZY. The unique quality from Mysterious Egg was no longer present! This meant I was able to go to the Oracles quartermaster and purchase another egg!

For those of you trying to replicate this (which by all means do so and get that mount faster then waiting 2 months + for) here are the variables that may or may not come into play.

The server maintenance was about to occur when I put in the request to server xfer.

I was logged out in dalaran.

Server xfer was completed prior to Kel'Thuzad coming offline.



As you can see the mysterious eggs unique quality is missing, btw UI is Spartan UI if anyone was curious

EDIT: If you use a free xfer from a high population server to a low population server and this works just the same please post here and I'll +rep. I might want to do this for an alt xfer to a low population server, buy an egg, then xfer over to kel'thuzad and buy another

If your on a high population server you can do this without cost, also if you really wanted to you could free xfer to another server, buy another egg, xfer back and buy a 3rd. Thats 3x the chances for a mount as apposed to just 1

Anyone know if this continues after 7 days? Because it seems like the next egg you purchase would be unique.

I actually got the proto drake after I moved from Frostmane to Mazrigos (months ago), I had the egg in my backpack when I migrated to Mazrigos and could open it some days later, my first egg aswell.

because the second egg you buy on the new server, will be unique again...

So let me get this straight...you go to the trouble of spending your time and money to transfer your character to get ONE extra egg..are you kidding?
