Fake Ban Message

Just a little idea, this happened to me today, scared the shit out of me, just came from under org.

/e cheers at you ([{lots of spaces here}])
You will be banned from the game in 3 minutes. (Reason:Hacking) This will be a temporary ban (3 Hours) This is the first and only warning you will get for hacking

You can edit this, you can do this to your friends, if you see anyone doing any exploiting or exploring places where you shouldn't be

me and my friend were getting into old IF and under Stormwind and we did a fake gm whisper to the guy in our party, saying he was receiving a permanent ban in 10 minutes for violating blahblhablha, we messed with him the whole time saying i had a timer on my screen counting down because i was group leader and i was the one who feared him through the wall. I love doing this

i got already a 3-days ban. the GM only tells you, that you have to check the mail for more infos, so only noobs will believe this. but it's a funny idea =)

Ive had 2 accounts perma banned so beat THAT

But I think allot of people will be like wtf.... because maybe 75% or more of WoW players dont use hacks...and wont believe this...

But the other half of the WoW players that do use hacks, would probebly have been banned before, so they will know its BS.

Anyways, I diddnt knwo this worked the the /e, but I do this in guild chat allot to scare officers n what not lol

The above post from Nordh is 100% accurate... impersonation of a GM WILL get you banned.

And the fact it is being done on an emote in this REALLY BAD example means that ANYONE in range will see it... and have a chance to report you.
Also making this even WORSE... it is being done in an emote, and that gets logged by the chat server, intact and searchable. The reason this is so much worse is simple. Anyone that reads it and freaks out will open a ticket to find out reasons they could have been banned, and end up filing a screwed up ticket that a GM will HAVE to ask about. The GM asking questions will result in a short investigation, and *gasps* they will see your retarded emote!

You get banned.
Never a good thing.
People, please, do NOT do this nonsense. And if you must, do it on trial accounts!

um.... 75% is 3/4... and that is alot more than half...
