I lol'd so hard! You target flag carrier via /target? I am glad I didn't meet you in my team... You can simply click on the name next to the flag symbol on world-frame :-D .... lol.. again...
To see their name next to the flag icon, you need DBM or other addons installed. Default UI only shows that the flag has been picked up, not the name.
Sad part is, I'm probably a better Gulch player than any of you posting in this thread. I'm sure Kazin can attest to the fact that people who twink are much more in tune with the actual objectives of BGs than normal players are. But that's besides the point.
dbm is so basic addon that I don't understand that somebody (even strict pvp player) does not have it...
Is there any possibility to get banned for this "exploit" tho its just a letter which Blizzard accepts?
I haven't checked in a while, but I don't think Blizzard "accepts" alt code letters. You won't get banned for it by any means but if enough people report the name you may get a forced name change.
On the subject of DBM: I didn't know HOW to install addons for the first 2 years I played this game. There are also plenty of people that refuse to use them because they play the game for you in a sense. If you can't understand why people may not use addons no matter how "basic" it is, then there is something wrong.
confirmed
cool trick
Can confirm it works, never seen it before either.
Also tried other letters with those symbols above them, and they all get capitalised except ÿ
Cool +Rep !
Nice tried it :P
Definition of the word exploit:
"An exploit, in online games, is the use of a bug or design flaw by a player to their advantage in a manner not intended by the game's designers."
Probably alot of players would've thought of this as exploiting, but it isn't.. click here to read more about the letter ÿ.
I can easily type this letter on a norwegian keyboard.
As Blizzard would've said: "Working as intended!".

nice exploit, alot of the leechers here are a bit dense when it comes to "Working as intended".
