Late night BGr? Choose Random you want and get FULL bonus pts.

Ok guys I JUST noticed this... Unfortunately I am not sure if a screenshot would make any sense so I will explain.



This is completely reliant on your battlegroup not having any SPECIFIC BGs going but only random. You can still que for a SPECIFIC BG that you want, but if none are going on it pops "A random BG que is ready" blah blah

You DO NOT get the extra random bonus honor by queing normally, but even though "Random que" pops, it gets you into the BG of your choice. Other people that joined randomly will get bonus honor but you will not, because you sacrificed your honor by choosing a specific BG.



Now - The Trick

I was qued for WSG specifically 20 min BEFORE the Dailies reset for the day.

Because NO one was queing for WSG... it popped up "Random BG ready" -- now normally it would not award me the bonus honor.

BUT!!!

Our game lasted nearly the full game time, we won, and it was now 10 min into the next hour with Randoms and dailies being reset. It GAVE me the bonus random daily honor for winning... Even though I never qued for a random.

This is NOT the same as the bonus honor for the WSG weekend that you get because when I looked at my Random BG, I was now only eligible for the 1862 honor for winning a random, and not the 2x that amount.

Anyway, this is ONLY useful to those that do their random BG late at night. I would say, que up into a game you want to play, with enough time for the BG to pop BEFORE the server resets dailies, but short enough time that the game ends after the reset.

There ya go, no more lame SOTA randoms if you just do this once a day... at least for the people up late.

I will try again in 24 hrs -- Remember this will only work once a day. This is merely a simple trick to be able to get your random out of the way in the middle of the night with a BG of your choice.

So your basically saying that you got 1 random for the first day (before reset) and then queued up for WSG before the daily quest reset, winning the battle after 03:00? and then got a random bonus?

Could have been the BG weekend, "Call to Arms" that awards the same as the first random BG for the night.

This is possible I suppose... BUT, it did say that I had already completed the random for the day as a result and I was no longer eligible for the 2x random bonus honor. In this case this would be BAD... Cause it would kill my WSG bonus honor AND my random Bonus honor with 1 shot lol

BUT... what I am going to do tonight is que for AB before the reset, WIN(hopefully LOL) after the reset, and see if I still get the bonus honor. I really.

Anyway, I really think this works. I am having several other guys in the guild try with me again tonight and I will report back.

that's how it works. you get 1 or the other, not both. u do the random, u still only get 1800 for doing the holiday, and vice versa
