Rogue Poisons

Hello,

I was in FoS today and won the random drop dagger. It was available to trade to the party members.

Anyways, I equiped it, and enchanted it with my poisons. Got the message that it would become soulbound once i applied it.. I ignored it and did so anyways.

However, it didnt become soulbound. It was still able up for trade.

So basicly you could exploit this if a DK wins a weapon ( haven't tested with 2H, but should be possible as well )
He trades it with you
You apply wound poison, and trade it back
Go go arena for 1 hr with MS debuff

He said he was able to trade the dagger with a poison enchant on.

One thing though, was this a BoE dagger? or a BoP?

[e] either way, I think this is NOT an exploit as if any rare quality (blue) or higher item quality drops in a group, it is still tradable for... 1 hr 30 mins? forgot the timer, but this was implemented in 3.2 patch or 3.2.2 patch because people kept complaining misloot and blizz was too lazy to keep replying to tickets.

even if the exploit worked on trading him the enchanted item

it would say for example
DEADLY POISON (REQUIRES CLASS ROGUE) in red

as it does with old twink items etc with level requirements

BoP obviously... u can still trade with items in your party tho

Yes, but if it were BoP there would be no pop up message, but instead, a warning prompt telling them it is not tradable.

this works... noticed alot on my rogue that indeed it shows it will become BOP if you put poisons, but it doesnt, and its still tradable.

nice, maybe works for warlock's spellstones aswell, but i doubt runeforging the weapon will work

Yes, but if it were BoP there would be no pop up message, but instead, a warning prompt telling them it is not tradable.

You can't trade BoE items to other servers, even if you just won it.

When the Ulduar patch (3.1?) went live, they killed that possibility. I was using windfury and rune of the fallen crusader on a grey 2h mace that didn't bind (DK enchant only on titansteel destroyer) on my paladin before that though. I did some testing; if you personally didn't do the class-specific enchant, it wouldn't work. Even if a shaman enchanted windfury and traded it to another shaman, it wouldn't work.

Anywho, I have 2 accounts, one of which has a lvl 60 rogue. I'll see what I can do.

Yes you can. Magician's Mantle - Item - World of Warcraft dropped in SFK the other day and a rogue and hunter needed on it along with me, a priest. A huge shitstorm came up and eventually the hunter who won, traded it to me. I'm most definitely positive he was from another server.




While on topic, this does not work. Might have been hotfixed. I ran SFK, could trade a weapon that didnt have poison, so I traded it back, put poison on both weapons (one instant, one deadly) and tried to trade them. It won't work and says ""You may not trade an item with a temporary enchant". Proof:
