Epic Hunter pet exploit(talent)

On this screen you can see, my borthers hunter having all pet talents specced, and dont know anything about hunters but i guess that is not normal.

What he did too achieve this:

1. You should be sv skilled and have some pets that are skilled to the max, but do not have them equipped.
2. Go to hunter trainer and reskill which will make you loose all points.Go Bm.
3. Distribute your new points.
4. get your pet out (my brother did it with his old sv cat.
5. Look at your pets talents my brother had 16 points already distributed at this point. But he could add another 20 points which made him go to 36 talent points.
6.Skill every talent.
7.Profit by owning arenas.

Okay i hope i could get this right my english is really bad because i am german and my brother found this out so the info is hard to describe (order in which it has to be executed).

It is only client sided and your pet really doesnt have the all the skills, just check out your spellbook and the pet tab. Figured this out myself couple months ago, everytime when you switch specs and call that pet you get 16 spendable pet talent points but you loose your pet's skills at the same time.

had this bug a few times, it's client side only and u can't use the extra pet skills

Jup, had that bug too, but animal was very weak = not really got the skills.

Yes, visually, there are more points, but your pet acts as though NO points have been spent(no AOE protection, for instance).

So I can confirm the visual bug, but it looks like a detraction, not a benefit.

The extra points, obviously, can only be spent in trees that don't already have point's spent in them. Thing is, when you pull your pet out for the first time after the respec, 20 points look as though they are already spent(talents already ticked upwards).

You'll note in the screenie that he seems to have 36 points assigned, but still has 16 of the points left from the 20 that he shows as unspent points. That's because as he assigned them to the ones that were empty, they didn't tick off from unspent. He was only able to tick off four of them, even though he has all the talents filled up. They stopped coming out of unspent after the 4th talent point was assigned.

This was back in November - one would think that if there was a bug that actually benefitted hunters, Blizz would have smashed that in a hotfix. Since there's no benefit and hurts only those who would exploit it - it remains unfixed.
