If you use a physical damage (i think only physical) on the big voidwalker things that use a mana shield to pull, EG a big Aimed Shot or something, it will take his health down and usually kill him! then you just have the little guys left!

umm, not anymore. it takes them down to 1, but it wont kill them

The trick isn't to pull with physical, the trick is to pull, then feign. They reset and they don't have the mana shield on. That means they have roughly 1K HP only, and if you pull them before they get the mana shield up again you can kill them before they reach the rest of the group.
Haven't tried this post patch however.

Sorry for bringing up that old topic again, but it seems to me like Blizz fixed this as the voidwalker always gets about 13hp left. Has anyone been able to kill him though?

I will definitely have to try this out. My group can clear them with no problem but this will make it that much easier. Awesome find to the OP and you Nordh for clarifying.

This has been fixed already.

You can get them down to 1% and they simply gain a shield.
We used this method before the fix.
