[paladin] repentance + taunt bug

Ok so you can solo anything thats not immune to repentance.

repentance the target then just spam hand of reckoning and it will do the dmg and not break repentance, allowing you to kill any hard elites / mobs solo. (you have to use repentance first to start combat or the mob will target you and taunt will do 0 dmg) i except this to get fixed soon so have fun.

Although the mobs will target you once it runs out, no matter how fast you re-apply it

This can be avoided with undead mobs, if you 'Turn Evil' them, then repentance.
Repentance -> hammer of Justice -> dps like crazy for 5 sec -> Turn Evil -> repentance for full stunlock

hand of reckoning got an 7sek CD every 7sek, 1,2k dmg is low for an elitemob!

after recasting Repentance, the mob got me in target and Hand of Reckoning does no dmg, so its crap!


max. dmg 60sek / 7sek(CD) * (yourdmg) 1200dmg

10285 DMG thats even not enough for a normal lvl 80 mob

hand of reckoning hits for much more than that for me in ret gear with 7k+ crits
also hand of reckoning has an 8 second cooldown unless you have 2/5 prot tier 9, then its a 6 second cooldown

but, after recasting repentance the mob is targeting you and you cant deal any dmg by taunt!

ok well as prot my hand of reckoning HITS for 2900 on average
and when I was ret spec I remember doing dailys and being able to 2 shot mobs with hand of reckoning + instant exorsicm

also the guildy I had test this for me was HITing with hand of reckoning for a bit over 4k

Okay I think I found the best way of doing this:

Repentence
Spam taunt until rep got like 5 seconds left
Use Hammer of Justice
Use Divine Storm and Judgement with SoR (highest judgement damage from scratch)
Use Repentence

Repeat

Also, save your Avenging Wrath for the Hammer of Justices.

Useful for Battered Hilt farming, since the necromancers with skeleton packs are susceptible to CC.
You can squeeze several more pack kills out per reset this way.

As ret pally you can already solo every pack with skeletons in there, also the other mob that drops Hilt is immune to stun/repe, etc.
