Kill stuff fast (level 1-15ish) using druid thorns

Nothing really big, not game changing, and im not sure if it belongs here (not really sure if its an exploit) but it turns out that thorns(having a spell power coefficient) does a good amount of damage to mobs at low levels.

Example: Today i was leveling a character (hunter, level 10) and I had a druid friend(lvl 80) put thorns/mark of the wild on me. I tagged a mob, and it hit me, doing 82 damage to the mob (the mob having 100 hp) i was able to 2-shot it, and get full exp.

Not sure how far this will work, due to the fact at level 80 it hits for about 200 or so. but good for low levels killing a few things quickly.


once again, im pretty sure this isnt an "exploit" but im not really sure where to put it :P

Doesnt buffs scale with levels? As in, if you buff a lvl 1 with a lvl 80 buff, you get the first rank?

Yes. And if you're too low for the first rank it says "Target it too low level".

pretty cool, too bad it only lasts 10mins per buff.

yes but i think he meant that rank 1(or the right one for the character in question) will benefit from the druid spell power adding crazy dmg, haven't tested it tho.

It will give you rank 1 thorns which is 6 damage to attackers. but it scales with the casters spell power instead of the person it is cast on. so if your druid has some decent spell power it should hit mobs for a goot 60-100ish.

Nice use of game mechanics. I just want to add that you can buff yourself if you have druid alt on same account - log on him from second launched WoW winows near your low lvl alt and buff him before he auto logs off (pretty common sense though)

That is definitely epic.
I guess someone could use that for really fast leveling.

Also works with level 80 paladin Retri Aura...but for that you'd need a pally with you. Common sense I know, but I was using it to kill mobs without him getting XP (Pre-XP lock) :hf2:
