Divine Intervention: Extra Dps on Yogg Brain

Typed the following into search and come up with nothing: Divine intervention, yogg, extra brain dps.

So we were on Yogg tonight, still havent killed him. Yes i know we suck. And a wipe was called, so 1 of our rets DI'd a boomkin i the brain room. Induce madness finished casting, Boomkin didnt get MC'd. Removed DI, continued dpsing brain.

Basically what i'm trying to say is, DI a dps in the brain room at 5 seconds left on induce madness, wait til induce madness finishes casting, and remove the DI, and you're free to dps until the next induce madness cast.

You can also soulstone the paladin that di's so he can insta res once he's thrown out.

I'd love to screenie it but we're still DI'ing the boomkin :P

Will get some proof later if pos, otherwise try it yourselves.

Nothing, once the portal team finished off the tentacle and got access to the brain he left at 5 seconds on induce madness. Effectively he got 1min 30 extra dps.

    1 min 30 - 5 seconds before induce = 1 min 25 seconds :P

Always someone who has to be picky :P If it's a ranged though, he doesnt have to click the portal til 1 sec left on induce :P So to split hairs, 1 min 28-29 :P

DI 5 seconds before, then after 5 seconds the countdown starts at 1 min 30, cancel it asap and you can get full 1min 30

Boyfriend heading into Ulduar right now. His guild is excited to try this so by the end of the night I will post their results and rep if it helps them significantly.

Ok they gave it a shot and it didn't really do much for them. They were DI on their top DPS (had 2 pallys and would try to rotate) but it was causing them to take the tentacools down too slow. Not sure if it would work had they tried someone with just decent DPS as opposed to their top hitters so someone might want to try that. If anything i think they maybe just need to get to where they can down him without any exploits then use an exploit just to make it go smoother and faster.

DI boomkin > BR paladin > 2 dps in brainroom. Paladin and boomkin do 8k dps (to play safe) for 1 minute 30 = 1.040.000 damage. Stupid to use this for 1st kill though, kinda brings away the fun...
