Blessing Of Sanctuary on your raid without speccing[dual-spec]

I noticed this while doing general Vezax as holy (normally protection.)

When you dual-spec to holy, anyone with GREATER blessing of sanctuary has it removed. And you have blessing of sanctuary removed from yourself.

Everyone else in the raid keeps a normal blessing of sanctuary.

This means you can dual-spec prot, buff the raid with sanc, then dual-spec holy, drink+divineplea and then go pull the boss with the entire raid (other than you) taking 3% less damage.

It is a bit of an annoying effort to buff 24 people with sanc, but with PallyPower you can just hammer your auto-buff key 24 times which isn't too bad.

Not really a "exploit", more the phrase "Clever use of game mechanic". However, it is alot of work for just 3% less damage taken.

Also a nice to use in any raids / groups I suppose?

The fact the game removes the Blessing of Sanctuary from yourself when you dual-spec makes me think it meant to remove it from everyone you cast it on? It certainly removes greater blessing of sanctuary from everyone.

its not intended indeed, and this kinda bypasses blizz's idea of having it removed =P
rather then going through the trouble of buffing 24 people, i'll just buff the 3 tanks each times and done =P

This has no bearing on the exploit posted. Not many raids only have 1 pally anyway. Normally you'll have role specific buff (BoM/BoW), BoK, and BoS in every raid. This exploit helps when your pally tank isnt around or if he is switching to another specc for a certain fight that doesn't require him to tank.

Anyway, I will definitely be informing my guild pallies about this. 3% less damage seems trivial, but it'll add up saving mana each fight (general vezax much?).
