Easily Solo Doctor Weavil as pet class

Finally decided to actually become a poster on these boards, been leaching for god knows how long.
I had a search around, but couldnt find anything that was even close to this.

This is a great way to kill Doctor Weavil which is needed for the AQ quest line, only really usefull there. We had a small raid who tried, but failed due to Dr. Weavil's mind control. To get around this problem i came up with using my pet as the tank, since he only mind controls the highest person on threat.

Doctor Weavil's abilities.
Mind Control - Non-dispellable mind control on the first person on the Doctor's aggro list. The mind controlled people have greatly enhanced the attack power and spell damage. Only one person will be mind controlled at a time.
Mind Shatter - 963-1237 Shadow damage AoE to everyone in line of sight. 30 yd range. Also stuns for 2 seconds.

The second is very easy to mitigate/outheal yourself as an 80.

So in summary, to solo him easily, just send in your pet and stay below it's agro, healing it when needed.





Just make sure to stay below your "tanks" agro.

Yeh, he is, only really useful for those that are doing the AQ quest line for kicks. (As my mate last night was)

Lool... i remember when i found this guy at lvl 70 while exploring... i was bored and find this iland, it was pretty funny since it was full off lvl 60 elites... then i found Dr.Weavil (i was a hunter) never heard of him, noone in my guild nor friendslist had either... since i was bored i tried to kill him... about 4-5 secs later, i'm lieing on the floor - dead

Guess if you think about it, probably is, but i guess its just a way to get around the MC, since we had a group of 4 last night, and the person who got MCed hit for like 18k. Probably a clever use of game mechanics?

Is he still kiteable off the island? I remember watching a video of him being dragged into orgrimmar. Hilarity ensued shortly thereafter.
