How to powerlevel lowbies

Hi, i found out a verry nice way to powerlevel low lvls thrue the worst lvls in my oppinion of the game (1-30)
I started boosting my brother that was lvling a lock, normaly whit my 80 warlock but the XP wasent rly that good.
So i thought of the oldschool way to get lowlvl full xp from mobs using pet, low lvl tag the npc and pet kill it.
I summoned my VW pulled half of instance and used my pet to AoE Taunt, then he start wacking on mobs until he crit and my brother got buffed whit Demonic Pact.
Then he leaves the group and start casting Rain of Fire, becuse he got around 200 spell dmg from my pet the mobs go down fast and he gets 100% of xp the from mobs.

Important that the warlock dont do annything to the mobs, you can heal the pet but just a hit whit youre wep and the lowbie wont get 100% xp, and the lock only got 1 min before he gets kicked out of the instance.

In Stockades he ding twice each run whit RAF.

Can do this whit anny class that got a decent AoE spell, if the lowbie is struggeling get a druid to buff thorns on the pet, when he then taunts wait until the mobs are around 10-20% leave group and AoE them down.

BTW havent tested it since last patch that changed how mob tagging works

to sum it up:

the level 80 voidwalker tanks all the mobs with his aoe taunt spell ?

once all mobs are pulled the low level guy leaves the group and casts an aoe spell to kill all the mobs ? right ?

does the low level guy even hit all the mobs when they are higher level ?
how does the low level get the 200 spell damage buff ?

sorry for asking all these questions, never played a warlock more then level 10 :P

what you described has been done for over years now. just don't do it in instances or you will get banned.

Not true.. the first person to ding 80 used this method.. and he got an infraction and 10 levels taken away

Mob tagging is legal. As long as you're not doing it in instances. When you do it in instances, it's considered exploiting the 60 second "instance kick" cooldown before it auto hearths you.

There is NO REASON to do this exploit if you are already RAFing.. you dont get the 3x RAF exp unless your in a group with your RAF buddy

you would get more exp staying in group in this case

I heard about mob tagging like 4 years ago.. Heh.. So its not really new.
And Athene got banned for doing it because he did it too fast. No one else got banned cause of mob-tagging. So I would think its allowed.. (Blizzard just wanted someone who levelled legitely to 80 as the 1st 80.)

Athene was not the player getting power leveled. He was just in the group. It was originally his idea to do it though. And again, they didn't get banned for mob tagging. Go to youtube and search for athene report. Watch the 34 minute video. It explains a lot. Except for the fact he thinks he got banned for mob tagging.

Correct, Athene was not the one being powerleveled, but they got banned for mob tagging inside an instance because that is an exploit.

The second fastest guy to level was a lock who had a druid out of group heal him. So that wasn't really mob tagging, but both this way and mob tagging (outside an instance) is legal.

have a lock will try it when i get home with one mob but don't think i wanna use it. also with regards to the Athene situation on the site he even says how he asked 2 GM 's is it illegal gameplay to mob tag in instances and both replied no, the moral ! don't ever take anything blizzard says for granted as they can change their own rules at any time.
