Less-Rabi Achievement (easy)

I'm sure most of you have seen the old fixed way of doing this by leaving one or 2 people out of combat, and tanking him in the stairway then when get gets to 1-2% you die and when he runs back the ooc's players tag him and kill him.

We found a new way today after finding out that the old way was fixed.

We have all of our group stand on the opposite side of the entrance where you won't get into combat. Then we have a dps (preferably a rogue) aggro him and run up the stairs and out of the entrance (or die). While the boss is chasing him, he will transform into the mammoth. Once the player leaves or dies the boss will come back down. Now its time for your tank to grab him before he gets back to his pull spot. (make sure your dps that pulled comes back in or doesn't release)

He is now in mammoth form but since he is reset, it shows that he never casted his metomorphesis, and now you can kill him and get the achievement

Doesn't he go back into troll form eventually and then starts to cast mammoth form while fighting him?

He will stay in mammoth the whole fight when you do this.

CONFIRMED. Had a rogue pull, sprint and vanish when he became a mammoth, we came back to his starting position and just killed him. He stayed a mammoth the entire time, and we got the achievement. Thank you, + rep.

but the boss will evade after the puller dies.. how does tank grab him?

he will show evade when you hit him while he is running back down but will stop right there and start attacking

so 4 ppl stand on the top of the stairs maintain out of combat

rogue pulls and kites boss, waits for the transform

when boss is in the middle of the stairs, rogue vanishes, boss starts resetting

at this point everyone is out of combat and boss is in mammoth form

tank jumps down to the bottom and starts attacking the boss as the boss comes down to the bottom

the boss will evade for a bit then aggros the tank?

My group had a lot of trouble with this achievement, and incidentally found a different way of completing it. All it requires is that you have 2 people in your party that can drop combat.

What to do:
-Engage the boss normally and bring him to about 15% (you don't need to worry about getting the interrupts except to make it easier healing-wise, as the plan is going to involve him turning into a mammoth).

-At 15% begin kiting the boss towards the ramp that heads to the entrance of the instance, bringing him about halfway up the ramp and doing very light dps with no dots as you go.

-Have your 2 combat droppers (we used a resto druid and an arcane mage) run back into the room where you pull the boss as he nears 1% and very carefully bring him to <5K hp as they drop out of combat (they need to make sure they're far enough away that they aren't hit by the quake)

-Die. I'm serious [The OP had the non combat-dropped stay OOC to avoid this, some might find it too hard]... the 3 people still in combat die and don't release. The boss will revert to human form and run back down the ramp at 1% health. The 2 people who dropped combat just need to nuke him real quick when he gets in LoS and everyone gets the achievement. It's sleazy, but it works.
