Free Month of Gametime (Scroll of Ressurection Exploit)

Decided to share a glitch in the Blizz 'Scroll of Resurrection' program that I discovered (though I wonder how many times this will get leeched by other sites).

All came about after spotting the rediculous amount of gold people are making by selling Horde pets & recipes on the Alliance auction house. So as I had an old frozen account I would use that to create a Horde character on my server to sell myself stuff via Booty Bay auction house.

Anyway......

I 'cast' Scroll of Resurrection on the frozen account, which gave me 10 days gametime (working as intended). Played for the 10 days and made a fortune.

So in order to make some more gold I activated the WotLK trial account and played for another 3 days, and then I noticed something strange. I had been awarded 1 month free game time.

So to break it down:

1. Have old frozen account (frozen more then 90 days)
2. Cast Scroll of Resurrection on frozen account
3. Play for 10 days and let it expire
4. Activate WotLK Trial Account on frozen account
5. ?????
6. Profit

Pretty nice, it gives you the reward you should get if the friend buys more gametime - by just adding the trial.

In the first picture wouldn't the account history have to go Scroll of Resurrection - Wotlk trial - Paid gametime? Yours just goes Scroll - Paid gametime.

The WotLK Trial is on another account. The 1st picture is my account (which is WotLK enabled)

For some reason the Blizz system is currently awarding a free month of gametime for upgrading to the trial. The only proviso is that you MUST cast the Scroll of Resurrection first.

Check http://www.mmowned.com/forums/account-giveaways/ for frozen accounts. I see lots given away (and I'll be posting a 'few' myself soon on New Years Eve)

You get the 30 days playtime when the other account holder pays anothers months subscription fee.
It's basically a "Welcome back Mr. Anderson. We........ missed you!"

The glitch is you're being awarded the 30 days playtime by activating the trial (which doesn't normally happen)

Pending means it will be applied after your current month has run out.

Pending is a good thing :P
