Avoid Malygos Cyclone Damage in Phase1 as ShS Rogue

In The Eye Of Eternity raid, where you fight Malygos, on phase 1 he uses cyclone, where everyone gets in the air, and he starts hiting for a lot, like 2k dmg. As a rogue/warlock you can avoid this damage.

If you're subtlety rogue, as soon as he gets you in the air, use Shadowstep. It will get you back to him, and than you will fall to the ground, without taking any damage.

p.s I can't post screenshots cause my PC is kinda ****ed and the quallity is shit, but you have my contrib word that this works as of 12/28/2008 ^_^

well someone's gotta test it... i am doing this with rogue atm and it works every time... the lock in our group have no problems aswell ^_^

you can also use killing spree as combat if you are a rogue to avoid the cyclone if you use it right before it happens , just a little tip

all I did, was attempt to make a new post... and typed in Malygos... lets try it with "VORTEX"... found Druid and Rogue.

Well... i typed Malygos / Cyclone etc in the search and couldn't find it...probably cause i was looking for cyclone not vortex xD sorry for this... i will report my thread ^_^

Edit: Oh wait... there is nothing mentioned for shadowstep in those threads... so this staying in here might be still at least a bit usefull i think ^^ First post = Major edited xD

Try Feigh Death or Shadowmeld if you have it... it might do the trick ^_^

Yes kind of. When i go there on my hunter i cant get down when im up in the air but when i start falling, just as im about to hit the ground i use disengage and i dont take any extra fall damage

Also works with warlock teleport put circle on ground pre phase vortex.
