Death Knight weapon skillup

Recently I got the sword from the Knights of the ebon blade, and decided to test my dps on the training dummies in Ebon Hold, but i had forgot to lvl up my 2h sword skill before i started, so my dps was kinda low.

What i did notice though was that i was getting skillups while beating on the training dummy, I dont know if this is intended but I didnt get any weaponskills from the ironforge dummies.

I didn't find anything when i searched so im sorry if it's a repost.



EDIT: It's kinda random so far, sometimes i get a lot of skillups within a few attacks while sometimes it takes a lot longer to gain a single point, also i have never got a skillup from just autoattacks, i have to be using abilities for it to work.

Was beating on a dummy for a good 5 minutes and not one skillup. Was using abilities.

idk how those dummys work.. maybe auto attack, anti afk and watch your fav movie or something... seems to me they don't level your skill as fast as just killing stuff.

You can merely be banned for actions not the knowledge, thus MMowned up while wow is on cannot do crap.

Yeah, I always have MMOWNED up while playing, never any trouble.

And about the thread, sounds good, but didn't work for me, I tried training my polearm skill, should only take one hit to give me one level up, since it's still at the very first skill. But nothing happened, left my character to hit for 10 minutes, no skill up.

Not saying it doesn't work for you, but it didn't work for me, perhaps it only works with that specific sword or something? I'll soon have it, will try then.

I can confirm that this has worked for me in the past.

I'm not sure what triggers it. I'll be hitting the training dummies (spamming skills and strikes) without earning weapon skills then all of a sudden, I would start gaining them.

just dinged 65, blood ring done, new axe from reward and i started to smash this dummies and i noticed that u gain skill only from skills and abilities and meaby 1/1000 from autoatack

Haha, do you think WoW has like an spy-app that can see what site and such you are in to.. And rofl, if you want to raise you'r weapon skill , try search here on MMOwned. There is one guide. That fully works XD
