I hate my PC - Already wroten this thread and internet explorer randomly restarted, why dont I use mozilla? Because damn vista closes it for "my security" So this time cba to rewrite it all so I'll keep it brief, Get Glyph of mend Pet which will restore 20 happiness to your pet when you click on it, kay, well if you spam it you can get over Happiness cap! To try this get your pet Happy, make sure you're full mana, spam it till you're oom, check combat log, it's kept increasing 20 happiness over the top, to make sure feed your pet some meat and you'll see it gives 0 happiness as its already (over) the cap, then click mend pet voila it keeps increasing

I dont think the pet actually gets happier, i just think its a bug with the combat log, so it thinks u still gain the +20 happiness.

This simply counts in the same way as when you "overkill" a mob (for example the mob has 10 hp left and you hit it for 500 it would register as 10 dmg and 490 overkill). (Im decently sure of this).

As above, its basically 'Overkilling'. It won't do anything, and if your pet doesn't get fed, or if you get your pet killed, it'd go back to Neutral or whatever the Yellow face is.

haha yeah it's not like you can actually gain anything out of this.....especially seeing as there is no level higher than like "Happy" I think the green one...idk haven't played my hunter in a while lol but yeah like Cwitt said with the overkill thing.

As Henka stated, it is a mere bug. Casting "Mend Pet" is tied to the script which places the "gains 20 happiness" along with the mend pet spell, which then shows up in your combat text. So, in effect, it does not help at all.

If you got over the pet cap your loyality would be level 7 "loyality cap" or something like that.
