[Achievement] Stats: Mage Portal

This is pretty much useless, but it's very simple.

There is a Mage Portals Taken tab under "Travel" which is under Statistics.

You can boost this number my a HUGE amount by simply mass clicking a portal that a mage has made, that IS NOT IN YOUR GROUP.

Like I said, it's pretty much useless, but hey, for the lulz.

Not like this matters anyway. Blizzard said with the launch of WotLK they are removing the statistics page from the achievements and they have no plans to bring it back.

That's not true. They're only removing the "highest stats" section, not the whole statistics page.
