Ranged weapon leveling

If you do the quest 'The Ashtongue Corruptors' (http://www.thottbot.com/?qu=10685)

You can very easily level your weapon skill since you have to kill these guys who are invulnerable until you destroy there totems so you can easily just let your character attacking them while you do other things around the house or whateva

After doing this a few times I have found the Corruptor of Air (57,74) to be the best because there are no surrounding mobs.

NOTE: this is only for ranged weapons...if you stand far enough away nothing will aggro.
Haluum is at 57,74.
Kept in place by 3 totems, when you break the totems 3/4 Corrupted Air Elementals appear.
When you kill the last totem, Haluum will also attack you. He's easy, does pathetic melee hits and around 700 Lightning Bolts.

Aylaru is at 48, 40.
Kept in place by 3 totems, when you break the totems 2 Corrupted Fire Elementals appear.
Once again, when last totem is killed, Aylaru also comes, he's got pathetic melee again and uses a Flameshock DoT that ticks for ~115~ he also sometimes puts up a Corrupted Searing Totem.

Eykenen is at 51, 54.
Same deal with the totems.
Another guy with weak melee, he can do about a 1k Earth Shock.

Lakaan is at 50, 24.
Same again with totems
Weak melee, 600 Water Bolts.

Just go to Dr. Boom stay far enough back that the bombs cant hit you and shoot him. I went from 1-320. then stopped because my guild needed me to run something.

Sounds interesting, but I must be missing something in my slightly sleep deprived state. If you shoot at a mob, even if you are out of agro range and even if you miss don't you usually agro that mob?

If you agro the mob then how can you keep shooting and levelling the skill? I'm sure I'm missing something here and I love the idea as I have really poor Crossbow skill right now and I'd love to level it up nice and quick!

Your better off with going to the endless mobs infront of the S.labs. Capped unarmed and axe so far. Odds of being hit are slim to none..
Good tip though.
