Raise weapon skill while afk

I searched and didn't see where anyone had posted this trick before, so I apologize if they have.

In Shadowmoon Valley, there are four mobs that are "Corruptor of _____" Each is surrounded by three totems. They are immune to attack and will not attack you until you destroy the totems. However, "immune" counts as a hit, and you receive skillups. In my experience, the best choice for this tactic is "Haalum, Corruptor of Air" (located in the south near where you finish the Gorefiend quests, coords 57, 73) because the mobs near him don't tend to wander close enough to agro you. So basically, walk up to him, auto attack him, go get a snack, and come back with much higher weapon skill.

You can also do the same with Dr. Boom in Netherstorm, to bad that's only for ranged attacks.

What sucks is that it takes actual playing to get a rogue/warrior's range skill up unless you have a bot/script or something

DyeTitan this was your post. It was named wep. skill leveling and it was a question.

sigh, in my research trying to find an easy way to level me wepon skill, i came arcoss a method in the blasted lands. you just need to find a humanoid mob named "servent of servine" there are a few of them ( southwest of the hold, and around the portal ) Well you need to kite them to the hold and drop agg on the guards.. well its not working, i cant kite him for more that 100yards, can anyone try this, to find out if its my n00b kiting, or if it was patched

Later in the Topic you posted that you used the creatures in Blasted Lands and the demons in Botanica none of these were copied by the original poster
