Skip Grauf and Skadi in UP

Hello everyone
This exploit enables you to get past Grauf and Skadi (3rd boss with the dragon) without having to kill it. This could be useful because it is one of the hardest bosses in UP.

1) One person needs to aggro him
2) everyone run back into the trophy room (room before this boss).
3) kill the first wave of mobs that appear
4) quickly run back to grauf and skadi and then down the hallway where to the bottom (where the cannons are).
5) you will notice that there will be no more mobs to attack and Grauf and Skadi will be back at their original starting position.
6) Complete last boss

Also, unless you suck Skadi isn't even hard. I've heard HORROR stories about him from people, but my first try at him and the group killed him no problem at all (yes it was heroic)..move out of frost, collect harpoons, and fire them when Grauf is close. Really, if you find this encounter hard, you might as well not even progress past Naxx.

I know he is easy, however, he may not be to some other people who do not know the tactics etc.

I found this out when a person in my group randomly aggroes him and ran back into the room. We noticed that the boss wasn't there afterwards.

Actually, if your tank takes the WW, it allows others to run back unscathed...first couple attempts my group tried the flight, not fight method, but he will chase you while he is doing his WW attack, killing anything other than a tank in his path.

The best way to do this boss, especially on heroic, is to have the tank stand his ground, taunt skadi back to you if he starts to chase someone else, and this will give your dps the best chance of surviving the WW attack. Your tank should survive if the healer is even 1/2 way decent.


and to the original poster...your "exploit" doesnt work at all. The final gate to Ymiron will not open....period, unless the Skadi event is completed.

but WW is EASY to get away from. Don't just back up from it TURN AND RUN, he'll chase you but will not catch up to you. It is good to have the tank taunt if he is running following the WW about 1/2 through to get him back towards him faster though.

LoL you posted in the exploit section and expected that everyone would just buy into your "this works" gig. Look it's in this section I have tried to skip this boss multiple ways your way my way other ways. IT DOESN'T WORK. The gate will not open unless you kill the boss.

If you don't want this poked at then don't freaking post it. You're mad cause I debunked your fail "exploit". It doesn't work so QQ elsewhere.

Ps. I give good feedback when something is good! In other words.. When it's deserved. Reposts and fail exploits don't get praise. Live with it.

As for how I react to reposts. About the same. I say "this is a repost from blah blah blah blah" but most the time people just say "oh sorry" instead of acting like a 12 year old brat.

That topic didn't mention about skipping the boss because you can't.

If you don't know, there's a gate next to Skadi area that won't open unless you killed him.

Another easy way to do the fight, and to get the 2 achievments associated with them all you need to do is agro the boss, and wait, let the harpooners run to you, collect 5 then reset the fight. Quickly before he respawns everyone run to the harpoon guns, have 1 person go start the fight (Not tank nor healer) have the tank pickup ALL the adds, AOE them down. soon as he comes in range of the harpoon guns, fire away. stay out of WW and its GG 2 achievments.
