How to: Exit BG's without Deserter.

Say your in a long wsg game,
and its been 30 minutes and there are still no captures.
and you dont want to /afk out because then you will get deserter.
And now, i present to you, the fairly easy way to not receive the Deserter buff.

1. Alt + f4 out of the game.

2. Restart your computer.

3. Log back in and you should be infront of the Battlemaster with no debuff.

Anyway, I think it does work without restart, or at least it did a while ago; haven't tried it recently.

You could unplug your network cable or press standby on your modem.

The best way to get a manual D/C is not by alt F4 or even clicking the X in windowed mode, the best way, and the fastest, to insure you get a D/C like disconnection is to hit Ctrl+Alt+Del and click on the PROCESSES tab. Find wow in the processes tab, and click end task, this will make an INSTANT D/C.

common sence :P you dont actually need to restart the PC, i just alt+f4, go and play on windows or get some food while i wait, and when i come back, no deserter ^^

I tried teh network disconect trick. But whenI logged back in I was in the exact same spot that I was at before I disconected!! (I waited 4 minutes before logging back in)

Whenever I use this trick, I usually pass the time by watching like 5 minutes of a DVD. I use this trick so much ive gotten through like... 7 DVD's. its fun
