    Pause Game in Mid-air

Tried this last night- im new to the site, bare with me if already posted =P
basically this allows you to jump off cliffs and stuff and "pause" your character from moving

    1) Put WoW in windows mode
    2) jump from a ledge
    3) when in midair, click and hold the bar at the top, as if you were trying to move the wow windows mode screen.
    4) while you are holding it down, your character will not move while in the air. this can be proved because you when you resume the game, you will be in same exact spot you click-held it at.

    my first post =p

this is neat, but from the way i see you explaining it, this does not Stop Damage, it just "pauses" your fall... but it would be neat if people saw you just sitting there, but maybe it only happens on your screen, someone get a friend and get them to watch?

From personal experience, moving the window while in windowed mode does the same thing as "making your self lag" (where you trick people into thinking that you're going a different way). So in other words, people will see you continue the fall, and keep running forward (while you're moving the window around) and and then teleport back up and do the fall over again (once you stop moving the window).

Yes, if you walk around, then hold in the bar, it works almost the same way as the macro to make people think you are going a different way, but cant disconnect you from server, and doesnt lag near as badly. as in this is much better tehn the macro.

the coolest thing with it id say is to walk forward twards a ledge while being chased, like say the roof in WSG (either side) and use this. you should look like on your screen that you are staying in the same spot, but to your enemy you fall right off, onlkt to shoot back up. they should usualy fall off, way out of range then

I think he means while you are walking (autorun? maybe?) and "lagging," it will appear as if you are still walking in the direction you tabbed out in. please excuse my lack of using the right words.

now that i read that it looks confusing

all you do is hold w/^(arrowkey) and click and hold the top tab of the window. guess if your around how far you want it to look like you want it to go, and let go.. you should be in the same spot you looked like you were the whole time, but to everyone else it looks like you kept running then lagged back. (its very obvious to people who know about this or the /sit /stand macro)

i hate seeing poeple use this running forward and then when they shoot back, they use S and walk backwards. that is VERY obvious.

i dont tikhink you can get banned because the GMs will just say you were lagging (technically you are)

i dont use this. i dont like to spoil my reputation, or allys for that matter
what do i mean by this? one horde twink on my server uses this against us. he bites, so its his only defence. everyone that figured out that he was really using this or the macro (every twink on ally, because me and others told everyone) hated him, his guild, and most of the horde tiwnks because of this he showed a couple other peole how to do thsi (apperently) and it is REALLYY annoying. a couple alliance do know how, but we dont use it, for that reason

    WOW long story...

i like to use this if im being chased (by a PC NPCs can still do damage to you) and warp back and go a different way. I have only used it a couple times but it worked pretty well when I did.

with the warping back thingy you could use it just before you run off a cliff when being chased by a player character, they'll run off and then you'll warp back up and it will probably take them ages to get back up, by which time you'd be long gone. It's especially useful in BG's...
