Theory: New Steam Tonk Exploit

I dont usually like to read Theory threads myself, cause they are mostly bullshit. However, I might have something good here...

Allright. So blizzard fixed the Steam tonk exploit (if you dont know what it is, google)

But I am guessing they changed the steam tonk item, not the spell itself.

Now what I need to try is to use a different kind of item that works the same way. Yesterday I came up with one! In 2k needles as horde, you get a q to use a little robot next to a ally camp

That robot works the same way as the steam tonk, you get the little stun afterwards also I believe. Anyway, if someone could confirm this cause I dont have a lvl 25 horde atm. If this works, you would have a steam tonk exploit and also without any charges or significant cooldown

Either way, even if this does work, I suppose it'd be "cool" but you really can't use it for much of anything. Five min buff and hardly any alli in Thousand Needles...

perhaps it could work with trinkets that have a channeled spell effect? I recall there being the trinket you get from an eastern plaguelands quest as horde at light's hope that allows you to breathe fire for a set amount of time. Maybe it could be used in the same way as the tonk trick?

I never said it was for thousand needles only. Why should you not be able to use the item anywhere?

for all you saying "theres no point because there are no ally to kill in 1k you are correct about this but if i remember correctly you could use the steam tonk to make multiple xmutes as well as dubble cast

can any alchemists test this who haven't completed the quest?
