it's nice find.. since if you hear the specific noise of some stealthed dude going around you and you are canabalising you will know you don't need to run away because while sapped you will still gain health

Right.
You would be able to cannibalize or use some other "spells" which couldn't be interrupted and a rogue couldn't stop you from doing this by sapping you.
Maybe useful in Arena. You're low on health, cannibalize and a rogue is vanishing and sapping you instead of using blind.

This is actually usable if you know how to use it... ^^ And no it won't work with any other spell, Cannibalize is a rather weird spell as it ignores a lot of checks. For example normal channeled spells won't do anything when you cast it while running, they won't cast, they won't drain mana. But, with cannibalize if you're running and press it (assuming there's a corpse ofcourse) it'll cast anyway, but cause you're moving its instantly interrupted and you just wasted a cooldown. Its useful, though it'll rarely be, and only works for Cannibalize.

This is a known bug...

It has to do with the fact that canabalize is a buff, and sap does not remove any buffs occuring, since its not "eating food" it labels it as a spell, not an item effect.
