[Theory] How to connect to hidden live servers (Still in the works)

Hey everyone,

To start off, I know this may not be the best place to put this, but I decided to post it here so that people can see it and help this idea develop as it seems hopeful.

Right! Now to the topic.

I decided to see for myself what I could find and just to see the hidden realms in general. Then it hit me (as I am sure it hit MANY others.) Why not try and copy a character to a server?!

Now I don't know about anyone else, but for me, when I see "Lich King" I know I wanna connect to it! Having the server ID for the Lich King realm (1670) I started to see what I could do with it.

There is an add on for Firefox called Tamper Data which will let you change what you submit in the transfer form.

Instal that and then follow this guide.

Ok. To start,
1) Go to https://www.wow-europe.com/ptr/character-copy.html sign in and get to the part where you select your server and character. after that Enable Tamper Data by going to Tools > Tamper Data > Start Tamper.



2) Then select your character and click submit when tamper data comes up. At the next page, pick any realm to transfer to and then carry on. When tamper data comes up this time, click tamper. You should have something like this.



3) Now, On the right hand side, change the realm ID to 1670 (the one of Lich King) and then click submit.

It should take you to a page like so.




When you click continue it says this error which leaves us with a dead end... or not?



Now some people wil be thinking "YOU NOOB! WHEN YOU XFER YOU WONT BE ABLE TO ACESS THE SERVER!!!!!!" etc etc.
So here is another theory. Tournament realms... People who aren't registered cant see them, yes? And people who are registered can, yes?

Like transferring it is done by a webform. I haven't been able to try this because I have signed up for the tournament realms so I cant see the form again. But... It SHOULD be possible to edit the form so instead of giving access to the tournament realms it gives access to the Lich king realms.
If you need any help or questions just ask.

I am hoping that people who read this will be willing to help me find a work around for the transfer thing and a way for the tournament sign up form.
If we could get this done it should be pretty epic!

Oh and remember instead of sending off a high level or something send off a low level like a level 1 or 10, just something that you wont miss.

hm, couldn't it be possible to copy a character with this method on normal live realms or use this for a free character transfer?

Yeah and I am looking into it seeing what the difference is between the two now.

holy shit....if you could transfer from a normal server to a pvp one...... is there a program like that for mac?

I tried to copy my character from a PvE to a PvP Realm, but didn't worked. Hope someone will find a way to do this I'll now go and see if i can get it somehow to work, will post then

So maybe it won't work for the Lich King server, and maybe you can't go from PvE to PvP...but I wonder if there is a way to copy your character to multiple servers and only paying once!!!(In target server, try putting in multiple IDs and separating them with a colon or coma....worth a try!!)

I tried.... didn't work, too bad. But what if you fooled around with the characterguid or something? What if there is a code used by blizzard to do transfers? 1 possibly?

i looked around, and I'm mildly good with tamper data and I did see one interesting thing...
in the "cookies" thing on the far left of the tamper data thing if you go all the way to the right on that then go slowly left for a bit uo'll see something that says "TournamentSplash=1" or something like that...
I was playing with that and tried 2 or 100 random things maybe that could work :P
