Mage Tower: ~500k damage absorb proc from TWW crafted equipment

Hello!

I would like to say that there is a bug with an optional crafting Embellished reagent from The War Within. The "Captured Starlight" optional reagent gives the full damage absorb as if you were not scaled down in item level, for 8 seconds. I tested this an hour ago in the Mage Tower and it procs at its max level 80 value, despite that I was scaled down in player level and item level. This can be very useful for cheesing the mechanics or as a life-saver during the Mage Tower challenges regardless of your class or spec as the roughly 500k damage absorb shield proc can withstand pretty much all damage in all scenarios, and it will always proc when you are brought below 30% health. Although it has a long 4 minutes cooldown but which can be reduced by "12 seconds per unique Algari gem color socketed" (as described in the ingame tooltip).

1. Buy the materials which you will use to craft for your preferred equipment slot based on your Mage Tower twink set (if you have one), as well as rank 3 (gold) "Captured Starlight". Or pick an existing item to have it recrafted. Or pick an item which is already crafted in your inventory/bank with "Captured Starlight", and if so skip to step 3.
2. Have the equipment crafted by you or someone else. A tip is not to waste Runed- or Gilded Harbinger Crests on this if you don't plan to actually use to at max level, as the extra shield value will be unnecessary- the damage taken will definitely not exceed 500k in 8 seconds in the Mage Tower. An 606 item level equipment with a Spark will do fine if you only wish to use it for the Mage Tower.

4. The damage absorb proc debuff is also reset upon leaving the Mage Tower scenario, making it even better as you don't have to wait for it to expire before starting another attempt!

Not tested this in Timewalking raids yet, but I suppose it would work there as well. Timewalking dungeons are obviously not relevant to this exploit, as TW dungeons no longer scale us down to the expansion's max level and instead work like Chromie leveling.

I hope this helped you and hopefully made you obtain the Mage Tower class transmog sets you want. Or perhaps even all sets as well as the Mage Tower book-mount!
